Valentines day update

The above pic was cobbled together with Autostitch. (click to enlargify)  The software didn't do a great job, but at least you can get the gist of the plant bench and lights.  Only the front row of shoplights (not special grow bulbs, just plain old fluorescents) are in use right now since I've only got greens going this early in the season.

The greens themselves are doing just fine.

  1. I love how you grow your plants in the winter. It tells so much what a good gardener you are :-)
Congrats on your early crops of lettuces. Bet they taste real good.

  2. Hi Ha Xuan! Y'know, I don't know which is better about growing greens in the basement this time of year - fresh tasty greens, or the symbolic fist shaking at the frigid winter weather! LOL I just know it makes me feel good when seeds start sprouting! :-D

  3. I share the same feeling seeing green sprouts coming up from the soil. Love it, right?
